Victoria is situated on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Our club was founded in 1992 and currently has 30 members. We are a group of friendly amateur hobbyists. At our meetings we learn about the culture and habitats of cacti and succulents from around the world. We share information about how to grow and propagate these fascinating plants. We hold a spring and a fall show and sale where we display our plants and share our hobby with the public. We are affiliated with the Cactus & Succulent Society of America.
We meet at 7:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month, except July, August and December. Our meetings are held at Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, 505 Quayle Road in Victoria.
Meetings are always entertaining as well as educational with speakers, slide shows and demonstrations. Our club is fortunate to have an extensive lending library with books available to members at each meeting. We always have lots of interesting plants on our raffle table. Yummy refreshments too. Visitors to our meetings are always welcome. Come check us out, see what we’re all about!
Membership is $20 for individuals and $30 for a family.
Benefits of membership include use of the VCSS library, participation in club events including day trips to other club show and sales, summer socials and holiday events, garden and greenhouse tours and discounts at local nurseries.
