Victoria Cactus and Succulent Society was founded in 1992 and currently has around 60 members. As a group of friendly amateur hobbyists, we promote cooperation in the study, culture and propagation of cacti and succulents, and support activities aimed at the conservation of their native habitat, by learning to understand and care for succulent plants at home and in the wild, through education, conservation, and research.
At our monthly meetings, we learn about cacti and succulents from around the world by bringing in our own plants, sharing information, and learning how to grow and propagate these fascinating plants. We are affiliated with the Cactus & Succulent Society of America.
Our meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month, except for July, August, and December, at the Horseshoe Club of Victoria, 620 Kenneth Ave. Meetings are entertaining as well as educational, with guest speakers, slide shows, workshops, and demonstrations. Our club is fortunate to have a small lending library with books available to members at each meeting. We always have lots of interesting plants on our raffle table and plenty of refreshments.
Visitors are always welcome – come check us out, and see what we’re all about!
